MAYVILLE, Wisc. (January 30, 2026) — SCAG Racing is excited to announce the renewal of Justin Ashley and Daniel Wilkerson’s partnerships with Mac Tools for the 2026 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season.

Mac Tools has supported Ashley since 2023 and Wilkerson throughout his entire career, providing high-quality professional tools that help both SCAG Power Equipment teams assemble, maintain, and service their race cars at peak performance both on and off the track.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue representing Mac Tools alongside my teammate Daniel,” said Ashley. “We value this partnership and understand that it’s a critical piece of our program’s success. Using Mac Tools helps us accomplish our most important objectives of safety and performance. When races are decided by thousandths of a second, everything matters—and having the right tools is at the top of the list.”

Wilkerson noted that Mac Tools has supported both him and his father, Tim Wilkerson, throughout their racing careers, and is grateful to continue that relationship with his SCAG Power Equipment team.

“For more than 20 years SCAG-Wilkerson Racing has only trusted one tool brand to get our race car turned around in less than an hour,” said Wilkerson. “Between rounds there is no margin for error. Scrambling after a tool breaks would be devastating. I wouldn’t want to do this without Mac Tools. This brand has carried my father and my teammate and friend, Justin Ashley, to many winner circles, so to represent Mac Tools alongside this team is an honor.”

Ashley and Wilkerson’s SCAG Power Equipment teams will rely on Mac Tools as they prepare their 10,000-plus-horsepower race cars and head into competition, beginning with the first stop of the 2026 season, March 6–8 at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.

About Mac Tools

In a move aimed at strengthening the current program for the upcoming NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, SCAG Racing is excited to welcome Aaron Brooks as Crew Chief to the Bluebird Turf/Dave Richards Funny Car team.

Brooks, who started as a crew guy and worked his way up the drag racing ladder, has many years of experience as a crew chief in both nitro classes. Brooks’ reputation for maximizing resources and mentoring crew members has made him a respected figure in drag racing and a great addition to the Bluebird Turf team. The entire Bluebird Team welcomes the change and is looking forward to a successful 2026 season. No other changes will be made to the team.

“I am extremely excited to have Aaron join our team,” said Dave Richards. “He brings a lot of veteran experience that’s going to elevate our team right away. It’s a great fit as he’s already worked with Jay Ryskey and Glen Huszar, and I know these guys are going to gel instantly. I’m going to work hard this off-season physically and mentally to bring my best to the driver’s seat, and I’m planning on a breakthrough year for this Bluebird Turf team. Can’t wait to get started testing for this year.”

For Brooks, the decision to work with Dave Richards and the Bluebird Funny Car team brings familiarity and a new chapter of opportunities.

“I’m excited to join the team,” Brooks commented. “I’ve known the Richards Brothers for a while now, and I know they are diehard racers. I’m looking forward to the season working with them and the guys, and hopefully we can make big strides with the Bluebird car.”

The Bluebird Turf/Dave Richards Funny Car Team will debut with Brooks at the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals in March 2026 in Gainesville, Florida.

POMONA, Calif. (November 12, 2025) – The 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series concludes this weekend as Dave Richards and the SCAG Racing BlueBird Turf / Versatran Ford Mustang Funny Car team arrive at storied In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip determined to finish their second full season campaign on a positive note at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.

After finishing 12th in points in 2024, Richards posted a career-best elapsed time of 3.920 seconds during the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte and made a semifinal appearance at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol and, after making it to the final quad, earned semifinal points at the Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals. Richards and the BlueBird Turf team enter the Finals 13th in points with, 139 points behind the top 10—a margin that could close with points and a half on the table for the season finale.

“It’s hard to believe we’re wrapping up two years of full-time racing,” said Richards. “The morale of the team is high. We’re all excited to get to Pomona and finish on a high note. We don’t want to spend the off-season thinking about our last race in any other way than an amazing performance by our BlueBird Turf / Versatran team. We want to know we showed our true potential. We’re going to do our best and I truly am excited to see the outcome.”

Earlier this season at the NHRA Winternationals hosted in March at the same facility, Richards qualified No. 12 off his first three-second run of the season before falling to Chad Green in the first round. Last year at the Finals, Richards fell victim to a stacked Funny Car field and was unable to qualify for race day. The BlueBird Turf / Versatran team are primed to rewrite the script at the Finals, chasing their first career victory amid the palms of Southern California.

“We’re heading to the Finals hungry to kick some ass,” Richards added. “So thankful to be part of this amazing team of SCAG Racing. Our future is bright and we’re looking forward to doing this a long time.”

Competition at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals begins with four rounds of qualifying Friday at 12:30 and 3:00 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. before eliminations begins Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Television coverage of the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series finale will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with qualifying shows Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. ET. Eliminations will air Sunday at 5:00 p.m. ET with a special Post Race Show at 8:00 p.m. ET.

POMONA, Calif. (November 12, 2025) – Daniel Wilkerson and the SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang Funny Car team head to historic In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip for the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals hungry for a storybook close as the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series comes to a close.

Wilkerson has transformed potential into performance during his sophomore campaign in his SCAG Ford Mustang. He secured two victories in the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge at the Virginia Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, set his career-best elapsed time of 3.942 seconds at 334.12 mph during the spring NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, and has advanced to the semifinals at the last four consecutive events. These efforts have propelled the SCAG Mustang team to fifth in the Funny Car points standings, trailing fourth-place Ron Capps by a single point and third-place Matt Hagan by only 47.

“I said at the beginning of the year that I would be happy with sixth or better,” said Wilkerson. “Improvement is always my first goal. But being a drag racer, greedy as we all are, with third place just two rounds of racing away thanks to the points and a half available at Pomona, my new goal is absolutely third.”

Pomona is special for Wilkerson, at the March NHRA Winternationals he charged to his first career Funny Car final round narrowly falling short to drag racing veteran and former champion Jack Beckman. The near victory has fueled Wilkerson and a win this weekend would be the first at historic Pomona Dragstrip for Daniel and his father, crew-chief and former driver, Tim.

“I also said we needed a few wins this year, with that off the table I will settle for one. My mother and father have never won Pomona so if we can deliver that for them and the rest of the team, I may be able to look past the handful of rookie mistakes I made this season,” Daniel Wilkerson continued. “The men on this team have busted their asses all year and given me a perfect hot rod. I would drive this thing to hell and back for them. So hopefully we can collect a little hardware for everyone’s mantle.”

ET. POMONA, Calif. (November 12, 2025) – As the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season reaches its conclusion, Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel team roll into the iconic In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with eyes set on delivering a powerful finish at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.

Ashley and is SCAG Toyota team overcame an uncharacteristic slow start—with just one round win in the opening three races—to notch four victories in seven final round appearances across the season, including triumphs at the Virginia Nationals, the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, his first-ever Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals win at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and a Countdown to the Championship conquest at the NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals in Charlotte.

These standout performances and sharp starting-line execution, have him sitting third in the Top Fuel points standings, 163 behind leader Doug Kalitta and just 21 behind second place Shawn Langdon entering the season finale.

“Although we are not competing for the world championship, our goal does not change,” Ashley added. “We want to win. It’s important that we secure a high points finish. Every round is very critical this weekend from qualifying to raceday, especially being that it’s points in a half. There’ll be opportunities out there. We want to take advantage of them.”

With two wins in the last six races, Ashley is coming off back-to-back quarterfinal finishes at the Texas NHRA FallNationals and Nevada Nationals where he qualified third and sixth respectively.

Ashley’s affinity for Pomona Dragstrip runs deep, where he has etched his legacy with four consecutive Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals final round appearances with victories from 2022 to 2024. Though he’s coming off first-round exits at the 2024 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, which dashed championship hopes, and a first round loss this spring at the Winternationals, Ashley returns to In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with unfinished business.

“We are fully ingrained in finding ways to continue bettering our program,” said Ashley. “[Crew chiefs] Tommy [DeLago] and Jason [McCulloch] deserve a lot of credit in that regard. They immediately came in and made an impact both on and off the racetrack in Las Vegas. I know they expect more of the same in Pomona.”

ET. LAS VEGAS (Nov 02, 2025) – Daniel Wilkerson and the SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang Funny Car team raced to another impressive semifinal finish Sunday at the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster advanced to the quarterfinals, while Dave Richards and the BlueBird Turf / Versatran Ford Mustang had a first-round exit.

Wilkerson, who qualified No. 7 with a 3.919-second run at 329.02 mph, powered through the first two rounds of eliminations. In round one, he took down Paul Lee who dropped a cylinder to go only 4.009 at 315.49, Wilkerson was able to pull away, laying down a 3.912 second pass at 331.12 mph. In the second round he took down former world champion Jack Beckman on a holeshot with a solid .057 reaction time and 3.932 pass at 320.58 mph to Beckman’s .098 reaction time and 3.909 pass at 330.88.

In the semifinals, Wilkerson faced off against championship contender and eventual race winner Matt Hagan. Wilkerson took an early lead and was ahead about 300 feet out before his SCAG Mustang smoked the tires, slowing to a 4.695-second pass at 213.43 mph. Hagan took the round win with a 3.912 at 327.43 mph.

“I really thought today was our day in the semis. As soon as I hit the gas that thing felt like it was the fastest it had been all weekend and I was positive we were going to win right up until it smoked the tires,” Wilkerson said. There’s about 17 other people that wish they had the weekend that we had here. I’m proud of my boys and how they got this thing together, per usual: no leaks, no stupid mistakes. We had about 50 SCAG dealers that left today all saying they had the time of their life, not one person mentioned the loss. It was fun to see Randy, Maria and the whole gang excited for a couple round wins today.”

Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel team qualified No. 6 with a 3.744-second pass at 333.41 mph. Ashley opened race day with a win over Josh Hart, clocking a 3.752-second run at 331.10 mph to Hart’s 3.782 at 327.51. In the second round, Ashley matched up with Shawn Langdon. Both drivers left nearly even, but Ashley’s 3.809 at 326.75 wasn’t enough for Langdon’s 3.751 at 332.60 mph.

“This weekend was a win in so many ways. We would’ve loved to turn on a few win lights and continue our quest for the world championship, but that’s okay. We’re moving forward with a great car and an opportunity to make more test laps tomorrow,” Ashley said. “Tommy DeLago and Jason McCulloch are an excellent team. It’s so much fun watching them go to work on turning this program into everything they envision it can be. Thank you to each and every SCAG Power Equipment dealer, distributor and guest that joined us in Las Vegas. We are grateful.”

Dave Richards and the BlueBird Turf / Versatran Ford Mustang team qualified No. 14 with a 4.047-second pass at 316.81 mph. In the opening round, Richards faced veteran Jack Beckman. The BlueBird Turf machine made it about 300 feet before hazing the tires and shutting off. Richards coasted to a 5.430 at 133.84 after hazing the tires near half-track. Beckman laid down the second quickest run of the session at 3.912 and 331.12 to take the win.

“Smoking the tires is not the way you want to go out, but qualifying really looked promising. We learned some things for the Pomona Finals, and we really just want to close out the season on a high note. We’ll do some testing tomorrow and just keep on improving,” Richards said. “Huge thank you to SCAG and all the dealers and distributors that came out this weekend. They always make the weekend a win.”

The 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series comes to a close with the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, Nov. 14-16, in Southern California.
